| There once was a Crooked Man who lived in a clock; He awoke each morning to the tick-tock, tick-tock. The Crooked Man walked in a crooked sort of line; His crooked sort of smile made the people think he's just fine. What's buried in your heart, Crooked Man, that makes you walk this way? And why do you hang your head and hide your tears at the end of the day? I loved him oh-so dearly. I wish he knew I did; Before that awful night came 'round, and took my love away. One day he'll come back for me, and I'll hold him very tight, and I'll tell him that I love him, and squeeze him with all my might. My Crooked Man can't be dead, and I'll never forget the words he said: "Light can be found in anything, all with a song, just sing; because the love in your heart lives on and on; even when you think it's all long-gone." |
